One of my favorite parts about social media is the opportunity you have to engage with your community. Whether is creating a call-to-action to be a part of a conversation or engaging with them to make them feel seen, social listening and interaction is so important for any brand.
One specific time when I was able to take fan engagement to the next level was while we were waiting out a rain delay for a race. Fans were getting antsy, and we wanted to find a fun way to not only engage with them, but to give them something they could remember as they waited for the action to begin.
A simple tweet was published on Hendrick Motorsports' Twitter asking fans to respond with the name of their favorite driver and their own name. Not knowing what would happen, over 1.2K fans responded to the tweet to find out that over hundreds of personalized wallpapers would be created for them to enjoy on their phone!
Not only did this create a trending moment in all of Twitter, but a memorable moment was created for fans as their phones were adorned with their new wallpapers created from our Photoshop template! This simple, yet effective idea brought in high engagement numbers for our social channels, as well as great brand exposure for the partners who were on each of the cars that weekend.
